you want to play with us! P.S. I'm not the only stay-at-home dad in the group either.). Also, I co-lead and organize Denver Pub Theology - a bimonthly gathering embracing and sincerely valuing all types of faith walks - at one of our many local breweries. It's a blast to cultivate an environment where everyone - no matter what they think or believe - gets a voice, and we can all say, "Cheers!" at the end of the night. I do some mentoring on the side, and am fully involved with The Table, a unique Platt Park community/ ministry/ church that values community, nourishment and grace via urban farming, regular feasting and other sweet gatherings. You might have seen our social media presence as of late, which is something I enjoy managing (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram: @denverthetable). Lastly, when Caroling is napping in the afternoon I love to sit down and write. I write about life, social justice and complex faith issues. Any future plans for other interesting things you want to fill us in on?
Well, if you are a parent and want to get involved in the community, I highly recommend serving with The Table. It's very kid-friendly, and there is just something cool about gathering with friends to watch children plant potatoes and pull some weeds, while knowing we are all giving back to our wonderful city! And, if you want to nerd out and drink quality craft beer, check out #DenverPubTheology (Twitter: @denverpubtheo), and RSVP to upcoming gatherings on our MeetUp site: http://www.meetup.com/Pub-Theology-of-Denver/ ... And if you are a dad who likes sports, beer or wants to home brew, send me an email at Millertimeministries@yahoo.com.
What's your favorite Platt Park spot?
I've gotta say the park, but if we are talking food you will often see us at Kaos Pizza, Adelita's, Pajama Baking Co. and any one of our five awesome breweries in walking distance. :) I love giving our local spots some #SocialMediaLove too!

Meet Ryan Miller
How long have you lived in the neighborhood and how long have you been parents?
My wife, Lauren, and I lived in Platt Park from 2000-2002, and moved back in June 2013 with our daughter, Caroline. For over a decade we've compared every neighborhood to Platt Park, and are really happy to be back in the area. Caroline is 2 1/2, and has been a staple at the neighborhood park since she was 8 months. Look for the pink, sparkly tutu!
We've seen your name pop up with Nextdoor, tell us about what you are involved with?
I love connecting with people in a variety of settings. So, whether I'm getting some dads together to watch Monday Night Football, hitting up Taco Tuesday at Adelita's on S. Broadway or meeting our friends at the park, I've found our neighborhood to be an excellent environment to genuinely build community. I became a full time stay-at-home dad nearly 2 years ago after being a full-time pastor for nearly 15 years. So, while my pace of life has drastically changed, I'm loving the ability to get to know my neighbors every day. When Caroline and I are not building towers, reading books, hitting up the zoo, eating delicious tacos or playing at the park, you can find us with our awesome play group (MSG me if
