Meet Joanne Brutsch

How did you and your husband get started on your careers?
I started working as an assistant at an interior design firm in the Vail Valley about 15 years ago and fell in love with the industry - I went back to school to get my interior design degree and now own my own firm with two other partners - Casey St. John Interiors. My office is on S. Broadway, while my partners work out of our office in Avon.
My husband has worked in the restaurant business since he was a teenager. He had the opportunity in his twenties to open a deli concept in the Vail Valley which eventually made it way down to the front range. He and business partners then opened Margs Taco Bistro restaurants throughout the Denver area, which led us to move here to Platt Park!
What is your favorite family activity to do in Platt Park?
There are many! Favorites include: walking through the Farmer's Market and taking bike rides around the neighborhood, usually including a pit stop at Park Burger & Sweet Cow!
Why did you and your husband decide to live in Platt Park?
We loved the small neighborhood feel with the close proximity to the city.
How long have you lived in the neighborhood? How long have you been a parent?
We have lived in Platt Park for almost 5 years. We have an eight year old daughter and 4 year old son.
